The Bolton Methodist Circuit
Where Everyone Is Welcome

Welcome to Bolton Methodist Circuit

We are a group of 12 churches across Bolton and its various townships, working to bring the Good News of Jesus Christ to our community. With diverse styles of worship and congregations of all ages and sizes, you can be sure of a warm welcome at any of our churches.

The Bolton circuit is part of the Bolton and Rochdale District in North-West England. Although numerically large, geographically the circuit covers quite a compact area. Despite this, the various churches are situated in a variety of population centres, from rural villages to bustling suburbs. The circuit reflects the wide diversity of cultures in the town and we have strong links with other faith groups in the area, working alongside Bolton Interfaith Council.
Mission and Ministry statement

The mission of the Bolton Circuit is to be a partner in the lives of our churches, who are both local and diverse. Each church seeks to respond to the needs of the individual communities that they serve, and are influenced by geography, history or the desire to gather with those of like mind. The circuit affirms the unique character of each of the different churches, and is committed to supporting and encouraging every member’s growth as a disciple. This is to be achieved by working together prayerfully and through partnerships with other denominations and agencies as we fulfil our calling to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ in word and action. Together, we will seek to learn new ways of being church, to be more effective stewards, and to engage with issues of social justice and global need.
